You bought an AI tool. Nobody uses it. Sound familiar?
You're not alone — and you're not tech-stupid. You're a smart operator who got oversold by people who made this more complicated than it needs to be.
Here's what the EU's current debate over restricting U.S. cloud services for sensitive data actually teaches us as business owners: even governments are stepping back and asking "wait — what data are we handing over, and to whom?"
That's the question you should be asking before your next AI purchase. Not "is this tool the most advanced?" but "what specific problem does this solve, and what data does it touch?"
Most AI tools fail inside businesses not because the tech is bad — but because nobody mapped the problem first. The tool gets bought, then the team is left to figure out the use case. That's backwards.
Before your next AI decision, write one sentence: "I want AI to solve X so that Y happens." If you can't finish that sentence, you're not ready to buy. And that's okay.
Get that sentence right first. The right tool becomes obvious from there.
What's the one business problem you most wish AI could actually solve for you right now?
