If you bought an AI tool nobody on your team uses, you're not bad at technology. You were likely sold something that worked better for the consultant's commission than for your actual workflow.

Major tech companies like Google are building formal partner programs with consulting firms. Those firms get certified, get incentives, and get access to sell specific solutions. Not wrong exactly — but it means the advice you're getting is often shaped by what the consultant is approved to sell, not what your business actually needs.
The conflict of interest isn't always disclosed. And you paid for it.
One thing you can do today: before any AI conversation with a vendor or consultant, ask directly — "Do you have a partner or reseller relationship with any tools you might recommend?" If they hesitate, that's your answer.
