You finally got your team using an AI tool. Now someone tells you it might be a security risk.
That's the part nobody warned you about.
Most business owners I talk to went through the same thing — spent money on a tool, fought to get adoption, and just when it starts working, a new problem appears. It's exhausting. And it makes you question whether any of this is worth it.
Here's what's actually happening in the market right now. Big enterprise players like Nutanix and Palo Alto Networks are now building security specifically around AI tools — protecting the AI itself, not just your network. That's a signal worth paying attention to.
What it tells you is this: AI adoption has matured enough that protecting it is now a real business category. Which means the question is no longer "should we use AI" — it's "are we using it in a way we can stand behind."
You don't need enterprise-level security tools right now. But you do need to ask your current AI vendor one simple question: "What data does this tool store, and who can access it?" That answer alone will tell you whether the tool deserves to stay in your stack.
What's the one thing your current AI vendor still hasn't explained clearly to you?
