Hollywood just published its list of the 25 most powerful AI people in the industry.
And not one of them succeeded by buying the most expensive tool first.
Here's what struck me reading it: every person on that list got chosen because they integrated AI into something that already worked — not because they rebuilt from scratch.
That's the part nobody tells you.
You're not behind because you haven't bought the right software. You're behind because nobody's shown you how to layer AI onto what you already have. There's a difference — and it's worth thousands of dollars in avoided mistakes.
The "$200/month tool nobody uses" problem isn't a you problem. It's a sequencing problem. Wrong tool, wrong timing, wrong expectation-setting from whoever sold it to you.
Here's the one thing you can do this week: write down the single most repetitive task your team complains about. Not the biggest problem. The most repetitive one.
That's your first AI use case. Start there. One task. Measurable before and after. That's how real ROI shows up in 30 days.
What was the last AI tool you bought that your team actually stopped using — and what was the reason you heard most often?
